More than 100 Canadian television stations are monitored by the software. Within 30 minutes, Cision clients receive an e-mail alert of coverage related to their company and their competitors. Previously it would take up to two to three hours after airtime to receive such information, Ernie de Wal, VP of sales and product development, told PRWeek.
“We brought this to the market now because customers are clamouring for this as a crisis communications tool,” said de Wal. “We're expecting clients to institute it for short periods of time when they expect heightened coverage.”
