Toronto Film Festival creates new VP, communications role

TORONTO: The Toronto International Film Festival has created a new VP, communications role, and has hired Jennifer Bell to fill it.

TORONTO: The Toronto International Film Festival has created a new VP, communications role, and has hired Jennifer Bell to fill it.   

Most recently, Bell was VP, communications and public affairs for nickel producer Vale Inco, where she oversaw corporate communications, issues management, community investment, and public affairs. Prior to Vale Inco, she was VP, corporate and public affairs at Alliance Atlantis.

At TIFF, Bell will provide strategic planning, development and execution of all external and internal communications, as well as oversee a team of five media relations personnel. In a statement, Bell said she looked forward to being part of TIFF “in a time of transformational change.” She started at TIFF March 9, 2009.
