Burson-Marsteller taps former Bush press secretary Perino

WASHINGTON: Burson-Marsteller has hired Dana Perino, a former White House press secretary, as chief issues counselor. Perino was press secretary for former President George W. Bush from 2007-2009, and prior to that she was deputy press secretary for the White House. She is now a part of the firm’s issues and crisis group and will report to Josh Gottheimer, Global EVP. Perino will be responsible for building on Burson's media and issues capabilities and providing senior counsel to clients.
