Vocus reports 14% revenue growth in Q1 2009

LANHAM, MD: On-demand PR management software provider Vocus reported $20.4 million in revenues for Q1 2009, a 14% growth over the same period last year.

LANHAM, MD: On-demand PR management software provider Vocus reported $20.4 million in revenues for Q1 2009, a 14% growth over the same period last year.

The company added 179 new subscriptions in Q1, bringing the total number of subscribers to 3,558. Among its clients are Burton Snowboards, Del Monte Foods, the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, and Warner Bros Home Entertainment.

GAAP income from operations was $296,000 for the quarter compared to a $297,000 loss for the same period last year. Non-GAAP income from operations was $3.65 million versus $2.88 million year-over-year. Free cash flow increased 76% from Q1 2008 to $9 million. Net loss for the quarter was $478,000 compared with a $403,000 loss for the comparable time in 2008.

Vocus is expecting Q2 2009 revenues in the range of $20.6 million to $20.8 million, and revenue for the year of $84 million to $85 million. The company lowered its full year outlook from $88.5 million to $89.5 million. Those figures were included in the guidance for the Q4 and full-year 2008 earnings release.
