XBRL US publishes taxonomy 'dictionary'

WASHINGTON: XBRL US, the nonprofit US consortium for XML business reporting standards, has published the 2009 digital 'dictionary' of GAAP reporting taxonomies.

WASHINGTON: XBRL US, the nonprofit US consortium for XML business reporting standards, has published the 2009 digital 'dictionary' of GAAP reporting taxonomies. According to the press release announcing the 2009 resource, there are "hundreds of accounting and industry-specific revisions to the 2008 release." XBRL US is providing training, software tools and services, and educational seminars about XBRL. The largest 500 public filers must comply with the Securities and Exchange Commission's mandate to use XBRL with their June 15, 2009 filings.
