PC Mag reports on Nielsen stats that show Twitter's retention rate is only 40%, which means that 60% fail to return the next month. So here's the irony! While the site's claim to fame is its ability to attract followers with short attention spans - those who can only handle reading 140 characters at a time - its downfall might be its inability to reach the 60% who don't stick with it. Would love some opinion on what this kind of user loyalty issue means for Twitter and for marketing professionals using Twitter as a comms tool.
Then again, there's been some debate on these numbers.
