NEW YORK: Future US launched Guitar Aficionado, an outlet targeting upscale men, this month. The publisher also produces Guitar World and a number of video-gaming titles.
The magazine has a core readership of affluent males ages 35 to 54, and an initial circulation of 100,000.
“As a result of Guitar World, we have a big footprint in the music-making culture, and we wanted to expand on that to create a lifestyle magazine for a demographic that was older and more affluent,” said Greg DiBenedetto, publisher of Guitar Aficionado.
It hired Four Corners Communications on a project basis for the launch.
