WASHINGTON: The Social Security Administration (SSA) issued a solicitation on June 30 for a contractor to monitor and analyze conversations about the federal agency online, according to a federal filing. The SSA plans to use the results to "respond to the preferences and expectations of the public it services, and for reacting and responding to the issues and concerns of the American public through SSA's website." Sites include blogs, online communities, Web groups, social networking and microblogging platforms, traditional media outlets, and video. Work on the one-year contract is scheduled to begin August 30.
