Fiske nominated for PRSA chair

NEW YORK: Rosanna Fiske has been nominated as the 2011 chairwoman and CEO of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

NEW YORK: Rosanna Fiske has been nominated as the 2011 chairwoman and CEO of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Fiske, a graduate coordinator and associate professor of PR and advertising at Florida International University, previously served on the PRSA board as a director from 2004 to 2006, and as treasurer in 2008.

Philip Tate, SVP at Luquire George Andrews is nominated for treasurer, and Gerard Corbett, founder and CEO of Redphlag, is nominated for secretary. Bob Frause, chairman and CEO of Frause; Mickey Nall, MD at Ogilvy PR Worldwide; and Blake Lewis, principal and senior consultant at Lewis PR, are nominated for directorships of the North Pacific, Southeast, and Southwest districts, respectively. Barbara "BJ" Whitman, principal of BJW PR, is nominated for director-at-large.

The candidates are up for approval at the annual meeting of PRSA's National Assembly, which takes place November 7 at the PRSA International Conference in San Diego.
