NEW YORK: Matthew Rose, EVP and global corporate communications practice leader at MWW, is departing the agency to join Emanate PR. He departs the company less than a year after being promoted to corporate practice leader.* Additionally, VP Eric Villines, who was interim GM for MWW's Dallas office, will relocate to the agency's Seattle office to serve as deputy GM, reporting to Bob Silver.
MWW recently created the deputy GM position in Seattle because the region is considered "an important growth market," MWW CEO Michael Kempner told PRWeek. Kempner also confirmed Rose's departure to join Emanate.
*CORRECTION: A previous version of this article incorrectly stated that Matthew Rose was EVP at MWW for less than a year. In fact, he was promoted to EVP and GM in January 2007. The "corporate practice leader" title was less than a year old. We regret the error.
