Wells Fargo taps Ford's Oscar Suris as head of corp comms

SAN FRANCISCO: Oscar Suris has joined Wells Fargo as head of corporate communications and an EVP with the financial service company.

SAN FRANCISCO: Oscar Suris has joined Wells Fargo as head of corporate communications and an EVP with the financial service company. He will report to Patricia Callahan, also an EVP at Wells Fargo, who oversees the office of transition for the Wells Fargo-Wachovia merger, corporate communications, corporate HR, enterprise expense management, and the social responsibility group. Prior to Wells Fargo, Suris was director of corporate communications and development at Ford Motor Company where he worked for six years. He also has five years of experience as a staff writer at The Wall Street Journal. Suris succeeds Larry Haeg, a 20-year veteran of Wells Fargo and its predecessor Norwest Corporation, who will retire in 2010.
