This week General Mills invited more than 40 bloggers to its company headquarteres for an “Eat & Greet." Mostly “mommy” and frugal-living bloggers attended. They created a #eatandgreet Twitter stream for the event.

The point was to have influential bloggers to meet the folks behind General Mills’ popular brands like Pillsbury and Progresso and to try new products, according to a release on the event. Next week, another 25 bloggers will visit General Mills to learn new recipes for its mainstay products like Old El Paso and the Green Giant.
