NEW YORK: The NewsMarket completed its planned acquisition of Medialink on September 29. Medialink's shareholders had approved the deal a few days earlier. Medialink will operate as a division of The NewsMarket retaining its name while branding discussions are under way. According to Jim Lonergan, president and CEO of The NewsMarket, a marketing push with the selected brand will be in place for Q1 2010. The company will also focus on integrating staff and products, investing in an expanded sales force, client-branded distribution programs, and proprietary technology.
