The US Chamber of Commerce told Politico that it will launch its “Campaign for Free Enterprise” on October 14, with a goal to create 20 million jobs in the next 10 years.
In preparation of the launch, the Chamber launched a Web site, Twitter feed, and Facebook page. The business group said in September that it awarded contracts to Powell Tate and Purple Strategies following a competitive bid.
The communications effort is considered to the be largest in the Chamber's history. In recent weeks, the Chamber has faced image issues as news volume about members resigning over the group's climate change policy has increased.
