SEATTLE: Allison & Partners is opening a Seattle office, to be led by Tom Biro, who has left his post at MTV. The new office will open October 26.
The office will be a full-service shop but will also build on Biro's experience in social media, entertainment, and technology. Biro was most recently senior director of communications at MTV and prior to that led MWW's digital practice.
So far, Allison does not have any anchor clients based in Seattle, but the agency has been monitoring the market for several years, Lauren Selikoff, CMO at Allison, told PRWeek. Biro is currently the only full-time staffer in the Seattle office.
Although Text 100 closed its Seattle office late last year, Selikoff says the market is ripe for a full-service, midsize agency.
“We've been talking to various prospects in the market and we feel like there is a really good opportunity for a full service, midsize agency because most of the agencies out there are very small or very large,” Selikoff said. “So we feel like it's a market segment that hasn't been well-serviced.”
Earlier this year, Allison opened offices in Atlanta and South Carolina and launched healthcare and public affairs practices. The Seattle branch is Allison's ninth office and its first in the Pacific Northwest region.
