Leadership shifts at Morgan Stanley

NEW YORK: Morgan Stanley announced new leadership appointments to become effective January1, 2010, when James Gorman will become CEO and president of the firm, replacing John Mack.

NEW YORK: Morgan Stanley announced new leadership appointments to become effective January 1, 2010, when James Gorman will become CEO and president of the firm, replacing John Mack. Within the changes, Thomas Nides was promoted from chief administrative officer to COO. A Morgan Stanley representative told PRWeek that Nides will continue to manage the PR team, with PR pros reporting directly to him.

Nides, is a former Burson-Marsteller CEO.
