NEW YORK: The Nielsen Company has been working with Goodman Media since September, according to the agency. The firm was hired to provide communications support for global thought leadership, particularly around the changing media world, said John Michael Kennedy, senior account director, Goodman Media.
He said the agency came into the business based on a word-of-mouth referral. Nielsen declined to comment.
In other new business wins for Goodman, the agency started providing national media outreach for National Cable Communications in October; media relations support for a new subscription service from independent movie distributor Oscilloscope Laboratories (which is owned by the Beastie Boys' Adam Yauch) in November; and publicity work for a new PBS children's series, The Cat In the Hat Knows A Lot About That, from Random House Children's Books in December.
