ABC restructures PR team

NEW YORK: ABC has restructured its internal media relations team amid the recent appointment of new anchors, including Dianne Sawyer at World News and her Good Morning America replacement, George Stephanopoulos.

NEW YORK: ABC restructured its internal media relations team amid the recent appointment of new anchors, including Dianne Sawyer at World News and her Good Morning America replacement, George Stephanopoulos.

Alyssa Ziegler Apple and Natalie Raabe were named directors of publicity for Good Morning America. For the past nine years, Ziegler Apple was the director of publicity for 20/20, and she'll continue to handle publicity for all Barbara Walter specials. Raabe was most recently director of publicity for World News, since 2006.

Bridgette Maney, who, for the past seven years, served as director of publicity for Good Morning America, was named director of publicity for ABC Newsmagazines, including 20/20, Primetime, and special primetime hours.

Emily Lenzner, executive director of communications at ABC, continues to lead media relations for Nightline, This Week, and ABC News' Washington Bureau. Also remaining in their current positions are Alison Bridgman, director of publicity for Nightline, and Natalia Labenskyj, PR director for ABC News Digital, ABC News Radio, and WABC.
