AP promotes manager of social networks

NEW YORK: The Associated Press promoted Lauren McCullough, 27, to manager of social networks and news engagement at the new AP Nerve Center. McCullough, who previously led the AP's social media efforts, including during the Copenhagen Climate Conference, will set standards and practices related to social networks and will oversee the Social Network Center, one of four components of the new AP headquarters.
