Rose & Kindel hires Muir

LOS ANGELES: Rose & Kindel appointed Fred Muir the CEO of its office in Los Angeles and Carl London the CEO of its Sacramento office, effective January 11.

LOS ANGELES: Rose & Kindel appointed Fred Muir the CEO of its office in Los Angeles and Carl London the CEO of its Sacramento office, effective January 11.

Cristina Rose, cofounder of the public affairs firm, was named senior counsel in November 2009. Huntsworth, the holding company for Rose & Kindel, announced a restructuring of its agencies in August 2009 which included the expansion of Grayling into the US.

Muir, former chairman for Burson-Marsteller's operations in Southern California and MD of the media practice, will also help establish an office in Los Angeles for Grayling. His last day with Burson-Marsteller was January 8.

Rhonda Brauer, MD and chair of the West Coast marketing practice for Burson-Marsteller, will replace Muir on an interim basis. A spokesperson said the firm is looking for a permanent replacement.

London, who started working for Rose & Kindel in 1996, was a senior advocate for the firm before being named CEO of the Sacramento office.
