WASHINGTON: National Strategies said that it had named Paul Johnson, former vice chair of Fleishman-Hillard, the president of its public affairs and strategic communications group in mid-2009.
Fleishman-Hillard confirmed in August 2009 that Johnson had resigned from the firm and that it did not plan to name a replacement. He had been with the firm for 23 years.
Johnson reports to Al Gordon, CEO of National Strategies. The company announced in March 2009 that it planned to acquire the Edison Group, a public affairs firm based in Atlanta. Pegasus Capital Advisors is a principal investor in National Strategies.
