PRNewsChannel gives away services in Twitter contest

PRNewsChannel is using a Twitter competition to give away free press release distributions in February.

PRNewsChannel is using a Twitter competition to give away free press release distributions in February. The newswire announced it will randomly select followers of PRNewsChannel's Twitter page on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays next month to win the prize, which is valued at about $150. The releases will then be distributed to sites and search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL, and Ask.com.

The Tampa, FL-based company currently has 230 followers on Twitter. Will be interesting to see if this initiative gives those numbers a boost.

From a PRNewsChannel release:

"Those of us at PRNewsChannel who are former TV news people are accustomed to sweeps in February," says Glenn Selig, founder of PRNewsChannel. "We thought it would be fun to have a sweepstakes of our own."
