NEW YORK: GCI Health tapped Wendy Lund, an executive at MS&L Worldwide, as its CEO, beginning February 8. Lund, the former MS&L EVP of global business and client development, also served as the CEO of sister agency Publicis Consultants PR.
Lund is the first CEO for GCI Health, which is a standalone global healthcare agency that was created following the merger of Cohn & Wolfe and GCI Group in 2008. Jill Dosik was named president of GCI Health in 2008 and will report to Lund.
Lund will report to Donna Imperato, CEO of Cohn & Wolfe Group. Imperato told PRWeek in 2008 that Dosik's role could eventually expand into the CEO position. GCI Health has 52 employees.
Karlenne Trimble, former deputy MD for MS&L's Atlanta office, was named chief growth officer at the firm. Her responsibilities include business development in North America.
