NEW YORK: MS&L named Jeanine O'Kane the North America director of healthcare, starting February 8.
O'Kane has responsibility for the firm's North American healthcare practice, including the New York and Boston offices.
She joins MS&L from Ogilvy PR where she was EVP and group head of the New York healthcare practice. O'Kane will report to Jim Tsokanos, president of the Americas, and Renee Wilson, MD of the New York office.
A spokesperson said Monique da Silva, global healthcare director, left the firm in January and noted that Kelly Dencker, former New York healthcare director, had been named director of client service at MS&L.
Cohn & Wolfe announced earlier this week that Wendy Lund, who once held senior roles in MS&L's healthcare practice, left her position as EVP of global business and client development to join GCI Health as CEO.
Ogilvy has not yet replaced O'Kane.
CORRECTION: An earlier version of this news brief incorrectly stated that O'Kane manages the healthcare practice in the New York and Boston office. She has responsibility for the firm's healthcare practice in 13 offices. We regret the error.
