VW gets a social media "Punch"

Volkswagen is taking us back to our childhood, bringing the VW bug punching game to social media.

Volkswagen is taking us back to our childhood, bringing the VW bug punching game to social media. You know, when you punched your friends, siblings, whoever, whenever you passed by a VW Bug. We called it "Slug Bug" in my 'hood, but apparently others called it "Punch Buggy," which is how the automaker got the name for this campaign.

Either way, the "Punch Dub" campaign is focused around Sluggy Patterson, the founder of the game, and includes an upcoming Super Bowl ad featuring comedian Tracy Morgan. Online, fans can read Sluggy's blog or follow his Twitter account, ask Sluggy questions, see a YouTube video of his story of how he came up with the game, and punch friends via Facebook.
