Politico profiled Dan Pfeiffer, the 34-year-old communications director for the White House, providing a look at Pfeiffer's views on media, blogging, and the 24/7 news cycle.
Part of the challenge in communicating is that while interest in politics, activism, and volunteering is up, readership of magazines and newspapers is way down, says Pfeiffer. He also told Politico's Mike Allen that people are now more interesting in content created by the White House.
“So, people are more involved and more interested in getting a lot of information and processing it,” he continued. “Where are they getting it? How are they doing it? And so we spend a lot of time experimenting, thinking of ways in which we communicate with people beyond your traditional methods.”
