NEW YORK: Cohn & Wolfe has hired Kazumi Mechling as president and market leader for its Los Angeles office. Last spring, Mechling left Waggener Edstrom where she was EVP and consumer marketing practice leader. At C&W, Mechling assumes the role previously held by Patricia Godefroy, who it recently promoted to chief branding officer for C&W.
Mechling will manage the office's day-to-day operations, client service, and business development activities. She will report directly to CEO Donna Imperato. The Los Angeles office is one of the agency's largest, handling clients like Walmart, Hilton Hotels, Taco Bell, Pioneer Electronics, Mattel, Ubisoft, and Blu-Ray.
