"The goal is pretty simple; it's really just meant to help people find jobs through online channels, in a different way than they might not be doing now," said Arik Hansen, principal at ACH Communications and cofounder of HAPPO. HAPPO Champions across the country will spearhead regional job connections and the campaign has a blog, Facebook page, and Twitter campaign building buzz.
"It has been very community-driven," said Valerie Simon, SVP at BurrellesLuce and cofounder of HAPPO. "The time is right; the jobs are starting to be out there, and if we can help to speed up the process… what an exciting opportunity that is."
Since the announcement of the program, HAPPO has gotten more than 1,400 mentions on Twitter and the Web site has gotten more than 3,200 page views. HAPPO is currently telling inspiring job search stories and having the regional HAPPO Champions spreading the word in their areas.
