GM's Harris joins USC faculty

LOS ANGELES: Steve Harris, former head of global communications at General Motors, has joined the faculty of the PR program at the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism.

LOS ANGELES: Steve Harris, former head of global communications at General Motors, joined the faculty of the PR program at the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism. Harris is serving as Strategic PR Executive in Residence for the current spring 2010 semester, teaching an advanced, graduate-level seminar, “Case Analysis of a Historic Corporate Transition: General Motors.”

The course focuses on analysis of the management and communications aspects of key events in GM's recent history, ranging from its involvement in films such as Who Killed the Electric Car, through its entry into and emergence from Chapter 11.
