I recently took part in a video conference hosted by FD's head of corporate responsibility Dick Newby in London. The discussion brought up some interesting points, focusing on matching sustainability projects with the needs of the community a corporation is reaching out to. Among those on hand for the chat were David Good, head of Tata's corporate office in the US; Carolyn Panzer, SVP of public policy for consumer goods company Diageo; John Elkington, founder of consultancy group SustainAbility; and Jeannine Dowling, corporate communications MD at FD.
The panel discussed recent initiatives from companies like Hyundai and Wal-Mart, looking at where corporations get it right and where they miss in terms of CSR.
Watch clips from the conference here, and let me know your thoughts.
