What's so interesting about the PRWeek awards is that the awards remain a conversation topic throughout the year. Just this week, an agency CEO talked to me about Coyne's Midsize Agency of the Year win in 2009.
I expect that the industry will still be talking about Ketchum's slew of wins (from Consumer Launch Campaign to Crisis or Issues Campaign; Ford's recognition for Best Use of Social Media/Digital; and Fleishman-Hillard's established presence, including its award for Public Affairs Campaign of the Year.
As the healthcare reporter for PRWeek, it was exciting to hear the volume of excitement from the Pfizer tables about the company's wins for Healthcare Campaign and Ray Kerins' win for PR Professional of the Year. The Pfizer team brought Jorge Puente, the Pfizer exec who came up with the idea of the "Maintain" program, to accept the award for Healthcare Campaign of the Year.
