NEW YORK: Lisa Altobelli, GM of Text 100's New York office, died this past Tuesday, March 30 after a seven-month battle with lung cancer. She was 37.
Altobelli joined Text 100's San Francisco office in 2001 as an account manager. In 2004, she moved to New York and became GM of that office in 2007. She was the client advocate for the agency's Fujifilm account, as well as working on other key accounts like IBM and Pop Tech.
“She was an extraordinary communications professional in terms of her knowledge and skills,” said Aedhmar Hynes, CEO of Text 100. “She was an extraordinary manager of people and mentor…She was an incredibly positive force and if anybody represented the values and cultures of our company it was Lisa.”
She started her career at the now defunct Silicon Valley agency Niehaus Ryan Wong, which was among the most prominent PR agencies during the tech boom of the late 1990s.
She is survived by her parents, two siblings, brother-in-law, and niece.
