WASHINGTON: PhRMA said that Mimi Simoneaux Kneuer, EVP of government and public affairs, plans to leave the pharmaceutical trade association in early May.

The announcement comes less than two months after Billy Tauzin, president and CEO of PhRMA, said he would leave the organization in June 2010. Kneuer, a former chief of staff for Tauzin on Capitol Hill, was responsible for communications, domestic policy, state and federal affairs, and alliance building during the five years she spent at PhRMA.

A replacement has not yet been named.
