NEW YORK: Gianfranco Chicco, a founding principal of Chandler Chicco Companies, has left the firm.

Bob Chandler, founding principal of Chandler Chicco Agency (CCA), said Chicco actually departed the firm in March 2009. He said he is handling full leadership of the healthcare agency and has no plans to name a new principal following Chicco's retirement.

“We have an executive council, which has my cabinet and the heads of the offices, so it's been terrific,” said Chandler.

Chandler Chicco Companies, which includes CCA, Biosector 2, and Allidura Consumer, was founded in 1995. InVentiv Health acquired the firm in 2007 for $65 million in cash and stock as well as earn-out payments based on specific financial targets.

The firm reported in PRWeek's Agency Business Report that US revenue in 2009 was less than $50 million and global revenue is between $50 and $100 million. The firm employs about 275 people.
