Mike Smith, the CEO of Washington-based Mike Smith Public Affairs, snagged a position in the Obama administration: a four-year term on the Industry Trade Advisory Committee. The Washington Business Journal reported on the appointment, noting that Smith was a media volunteer for President Obama's campaign in Iowa, Texas, and Virginia in 2007 and 2008.
