Competition for internships is not a new thing, but one agency in Minneapolis has taken the process to another level – the Facebook vote. Fast Horse, an integrated consumer marketing and communications agency, has said it is “leaving the hiring decision” to the “the greater Facebook community.”
Interested applicants are invited to submit a video cover letter along with their resume. The three best will be posted on the agency's Facebook page where visitors will have the opportunity to vote for the candidate they think should be hired.
But this is no free for all. Fast Horse ultimately has control over who will be voted on, and as they say, “Obviously we'll be comfortable hiring any of the three finalists.'
