NEW YORK: Lee Levitt, a co-founder of PR Aids, passed away on May 19 from complications of Parkinson's disease, at the age of 80. Levitt, an accredited member of PRSA and Council member for IPRA, launched his own PR agency in the early 1950s, and in 1958 co-founded PR Aids, a PR service organization that offered press release distribution services. After selling the firm in 1985, he went on to serve as a consultant, focusing on PR management, merger, and sales strategies.
