Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg finally announced changes to the company's privacy controls today. From ReadWriteWeb:
Users are now allowed to hide their friends list and their list of interest pages from the public at large. They are also able to opt-out of "instant personalization" and the entire platform of apps and games with just one or two clicks. These are big changes.
The new privacy controls should go live in the next few weeks. Still, one has to wonder: will it change the minds of those who have already pledged that May 31 is "Quit Facebook Day"?
