Haber & Quinn's entire client roster and all five staffers, including co-founders Geri Haber and John Quinn, moved to rbb, and there are no client conflicts, said Christine Barney, CEO and managing partner of rbb, which has 28 employees.
"I have been on record for the last year or so saying that rbb is interested in aggressively growing its size and scope," Barney said of the reasons for the acquisition. "We're making moderate-sized acquisitions because we're cherry picking."
Haber & Quinn will become the rbb/HQ event division, with Haber serving as senior counselor and VP of the new division. Current clients that will benefit from the new division are the Florida Marlins and the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Quinn will serve as VP of healthcare at rbb.
Rbb reported revenue of a little more than $4 million in 2009, according to PRWeek's Agency Business Report. Though Haber & Quinn does not report revenues, Barney said its billings are around $500,000.
