LANHAM, MD: Vocus said that it acquired HARO (Help a Reporter Out), a free online service that connects journalists and bloggers with small businesses and PR professionals. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Peter Shankman, founder of HARO, was named VP at Vocus. HARO's two other staffers are also joining Vocus.
