The company began talking to agencies last fall for a “incremental project,” said Jim Brady, senior manager of PR for Cisco. OutCast, which had an ongoing relationship with Cisco, began work on the account this spring.
OutCast confirmed that it was working on a new consumer product launch with Cisco, but declined to provide additional information.
Brady also declined to provide information about the product or the review process. However, he noted that the “new work being done on our behalf does not impact any other agencies.”
Cisco hired Text 100 in 2007 as its AOR.
Cisco announced at CES in January that it planned to launch TelePresence, its video teleconferencing technology, for a home setting. The company said field trials were expected to start in the US in spring 2010.
