HACKENSACK, N.J.: Beckerman has acquired Antenna Group, a San Francisco-based agency specializing in sustainability.
Under the terms of the deal, Antenna Group will retain its brand identity, its 15 employees, and current management team, which includes Melody Haller, CEO and founder, and Caroline Venza, VP.
Beckerman president Keith Zakheim said the acquisition is part of the New Jersey-based agency's strategy to build on its current roster of 35 clients in the sustainability space.
“We have been fortunate to grow a green clean tech practice over the past few years and we wanted to capitalize on what we have on the West Coast,” he said. “Antenna Group has been going for the longest and shares our passion, so it was a natural fit.”
Zakheim added that Beckerman plans to grow Antenna Group and share synergies between the two brands. He added that the agency, which currently has revenues of more than $2 million, was also on the lookout for future acquisitions in the clean tech PR space.
Founded in 1989, Beckerman is a full-service agency with more than 60 employees. It represents more than 100 clients across several sectors including environmental, real estate, financial, and healthcare.
