LANHAM, MD: Vocus univeiled its redesigned PRWeb.com site, which includes enhanced search features, increased interaction, and more space for multimedia.
As part of the changes, the news center section of the online press release newswire will be overhauled to include a greater focus on SEO, which Vocus said will mean greater visibility and increased traffic for customers.
The press release section will also be reworked with a new template to improve search friendliness and interactivity.
In addition, the site will feature a redesigned learning center that will include videos, articles, and white papers to help users plan and execute communications programs.
Frank Strong, PR director for Vocus, said that because the majority of PRWeb traffic comes from search engines, the focus of the redesign was to ensure news releases would be easily found.
“The goal behind this redesign was to improve our customer's experience," added Strong. "This new site will drive more traffic to their PRWeb news releases, as well as their own websites.”
Vocus acquired PRWeb in 2006 for $28 million in cash and shares.
