LOS ANGELES: Industry veteran Elliot Fischoff passed away on July 1 on the eve of his 57th birthday following complications caused by thyroid cancer.

Fischoff had worked in the communications industry for more than a quarter of a century and most recently was head of film and TV for Rogers & Cowan in LA, a firm he joined 15 years ago. The Interpublic-owned agency plans to hold a memorial service in celebration of his life next week.

Tom Tardio, CEO of Rogers & Cowan, said: “Elliot exemplified the traits of a real pro and was one of the few people who was involved with both film and TV. He was a tremendous leader and got great results for his clients, but he was also a great guy and a friend to many. His passing is a heavy grief for our company.”
