LONDON: Washington DC bloggers are ahead of their EU counterparts when it comes to policy blogging according to a study due to be released by Waggener Edstrom in Brussels next week.
The “Brussels Blogger Study”, which took place earlier this year, researched 40 blogs that were rated according to their influence on the policy agenda. The study was based on a similar research project about Washington DC bloggers that took place in December last year.
Waggener Edstrom's associate director of euro affairs John Jolliffe, who also worked on the study said: “We wanted to look at which bloggers were influencing the agenda and their effectiveness and we found that the DC community is more mature when compared with Brussels.”
Jolliffe added that Waggener Edstrom was open to repeating the study and extending it to new markets in the future.
