NEW YORK: General Electric is looking to hire a new VP of global corporate affairs for GE Capital Global Banking to replace current VP Robert Rendine, who is moving to NYSE Euronext. Rendine will start as the company's SVP and global head of corporate communications on September 7.

Rendine is replacing Joost van der Does de Willebois, who served as both head of global corporate communications and head of the Amsterdam market for NYSE Euronext. He is stepping down this summer and will be replaced with two separate positions.

Rendine currently leads global corporate affairs for GE Capital from London, but will be based in New York for his new role. Prior to starting at GE as VP of global communications for GE Money in 2003, Rendine served as SVP of corporate communications for the American Stock Exchange.

According to Russell Wilkerson, MD of communications and public affairs for GE Capital, the company plans to replace Rendine, who he called "a great member of our team," and is reviewing internal and external candidates.

At NYSE Euronext, Rendine will oversee corporate communications for the whole company, reporting to Andrew Brandman, EVP and chief administrative officer. He will handle media relations, executive communications, and broadcasting.
