FOLSOM, CA: The California Walnut Board and Commission issued an RFP for domestic PR work, with proposals due by September 15. Torme Lauricella PR, a San Francisco-based firm, has held the account for 16 years and plans to pitch.
The Commission is required to issue an RFP for the account every three years, said Jennifer Getz, domestic marketing director for the organization. The Board represents walnut growers and handlers in California and the Commission is a state agency of California.
Getz said the scope of work has not changed and the communications effort will continue to focus on consumers and health professionals. Firms must be based in the US to pitch.
