NEW YORK: Amidst plans for growth, Equinox issued an RFP for a national interactive creative services AOR, confirmed Bryan Turpin, director of interactive marketing at the company. The scope of work includes various digital creative services, including social media, digital experience design, and app development.
While PR is not part of this RFP, he said that PR will support the digital creative executed by the agency. The fitness company works with a number of PR agencies regionally.
In June, the company issued the RFP to a mix of large and small digital shops, versus traditional creative agencies that tout digital capabilities, he said. It's viewing initial presentations this week and expects to make a decision by August at the latest.
The agency will be responsible for developing a campaign slated to launch around December, as well as boost the brand's presence on Facebook, Twitter, and mobile check-in service platforms like Foursquare and Gowalla, among others.
“We're looking for fresh ideas for next year's campaign,” he said. “We have a lot of plans.”
He would not specify whether or not it meant expanding or tweaking the brand's existing “My Body My Biography” campaign.
A member of the company's PR department did not immediately return a call for comment.
Equinox has gym locations is Boston, Connecticut, New York, Dallas, and California, among other regions.
