NFL poaches Hicks from Ogilvy

NEW YORK: The National Football League hired Paul Hicks, Ogilvy PR's regional CEO of the Americas, as EVP of communications and government affairs reporting to commissioner Roger Goodell.

NEW YORK: The National Football League hired Paul Hicks, Ogilvy PR's regional CEO of the Americas, as EVP of communications and government affairs reporting to commissioner Roger Goodell.

Hicks begins his new role in August. He replaces Joe Browne, who as previously reported will move into a new role as senior adviser to the commissioner.

Hicks will oversee all the NFL's internal and external communications, government affairs, corporate social responsibility and community relations.

NFL has also hired Robert Gulliver as EVP of HR and chief diversity officer. Gulliver joins from Wells Fargo & Company, where he was EVP and head of HR.
