SAN FRANCISCO: Energy management and performance software start-up ENXSuite hired Lewis PR as US AOR to launch a media campaign and promote awareness of the energy-use enterprise tools sector.

The account was awarded following a competitive pitch, but a formal RFP was not issued. Noah Dye, managing director of business development and marketing at Lewis PR, said a few other agencies vied for the account, but declined to name them.

ENXSuite's public relations campaign comes as the company gears up for more investments and a move into the clean-tech industry. The company was founded in 2005 but only started to accept funding in 2008. In June, the company hired former Oracle SVP and president of Aspect Communications Beatriz Infante to be its CEO, and two weeks later named Alcatel-Lucent marketer David Puglia as CMO.

Puglia, who oversees the one-year long account, said four people at Lewis PR are working on the account. “Lewis has a very broad reach, but they operate like a boutique,” Puglia said.

Louise Thompson, managing director at Lewis' San Francisco office, heads the program and reports directly to Puglia.
